November Birchbox

Time for this months Birchbox review. I will start by stating I wasn't exactly impressed on it's arrival. Not only was it dumped at my back door in broad day light on opening the box I was missing a couple of items - way to go Birchbox. After emailing them which took 2 days for them to reply - even after I had tweeted them about it and they replied back! They then sent the two items with not even a squiff of an apology or way of making it up to me. One of the items (the perfume sample) that was missing had the piece of card with the perfume details but no sample. Can you tell I wasn't happy? 

So on that note lets get into it!

November Birchbox

English Laundry - Signature For Her Perfume

I hate perfume samples in a box. I could walk into a shop - in fact, I could go into work and just get a sample of one! Get rid of them!! The smell includes quince, jasmine petals and musk. A little too sickly sweet for me, a nice day perfume if you are into fruity smells.

Laura Mercier - Body Butter

Loving another Laura Mercier sample. Nice to see some premium brands in these type of boxes, great way to try out products without paying full price and wasting money if they aren't suitable. Not sure if I am too keen on the smell of shea butter with jojoba and grape seed. Might get used to it more I like it. Quite a thick and heavy lotion.

Weleda - Replenishing Oat Shampoo

Oat shampoo is a new one for me. Another product including jojoba this shampoo is supposed to smooth hair and reduce breakage. Yet to try this but interested in how it will turn out.

Pukka Herbs - Selection of Teas

Very random thing for a beauty box! I do however love tea and am interested in trying the different flavours. Still not entirely sure what the point of these are? Bit random Birchbox!

Chella - Highlighter Pencil

Another item that was missing from my box this month and I eventually got through the door (still angry about the carelessness on Birchbox behalf!). I have been dying to go buy a highlighter pencil for ages now and was literally going to buy Benefit's High Brow the following week when this was received! Really loving it. More or a yellowy tone to it that a white so looks for natural.

Lastly is this lovely Birchbox sharpener which is actually pretty handy for me just now as I need to throw out my old one. Pretty much done! 

Overall I'm not exactly buzzing off of this box. Yes, I will use all of the products (minus the pointless sample) but they are things I could live without or wouldn't have cared if they weren't included. Hoping next month is a lot better considering it will be Xmas time!
