I have never struggled with styling an item of clothing like I did with this feather skirt! I have had it for so long, bought it from Topshop when I was in London and it has never been worn as I couldn't style it. Having one of my good friends 21st Birthday's on Friday night I decided it was time to wear it!
An hour later and a million options later I settled on this turquoise coloured plain top which I found in my Mum's Wardrobe - sheer luck! I didn't like the style of straps as they were too thick and I felt they made the whole outfit look too casual and so I had an idea and pinned the straps to create a sweetheart neckline. Craig's Mum very kindly sewed them for me before heading out - the stress I caused her was unbelievable! Thanks Aileen!
I wanted to tone down the rest of the outfit so I added a thick black belt to break up the craziness of the skirt. I originally had on a black choker but as I styled my hair up and added bright pink lippy (Rimmel Apocolips 501 Stellar) I didn't think it worked well.
Got to show off my brand new Kurt Geiger's and they were super comfortable to wear out. All cushioned on the inside! Lastly added a black Fendi bag to finish off the look! This is actually a shoulder strap bag but I tucked that in and used it as an oversized clutch!
Had a brill night for Lynsey's Birthday - can't wait for mine now!
