Today I decided to do something a little bit different and do a review on a recent item I got. Been wanting to start reviews and have been doing little bits here and there with my monthly favourites and my Glossybox reviews (also starting Birchbox so will report back on that when it arrives!). One thing I have never really understood is BB creams, I had one ages ago and never really got into it but I felt I wanted to give it another go as some days I don't want to wear foundation and would happily go out with a tinted moisturiser.
I picked up this L'Oreal Magique BB Cream as I really liked the packaging (such a girl) and enjoyed that it proclaimed it was a five in one buy - bargain. Firstly put some on the back of my hand to gauge how heavy it would be and I really liked the consistency. Comes out white with micro beads which I thought was great but as I started to apply it to my face it began to turn a strong orange colour! (a reminder that pale people struggle finding perfect match in drug stores). I also felt it stuck to my dry patches and exaggerated them as opposed to evening out my skin-tone. Unfortunately my skin tone resembled that of a mandarin!
Pluses? It was very lightweight and if you have a darker skin tone or wore tan then this could look great! It did last for a while as I decided to test drive it for the full day - not sure it's quite the 24 hour lasting power it says but it was good. You do only need the tiniest amount to cover your face and it gave good coverage! So yes, if you are fortunate enough to be blessed with lovely tanned skin I could see this being a winner for you.

I apologise about the state of my face in these photos as my skin is having a nightmare just now. You can tell the colour difference straight away in these photos. This product just does not suit me - you can see from the after photo the different from my neck to my face.
As I wanted to wear it out to really get a good review for you guys I had to dull the colour down with powder or I literally would have stopped traffic. Unfortunately, L'Oreal you are not for me so for now it is back on the hunt for my perfect BB!
Hope you like this post!
