Having bit of reflection time tonight as I've been feeling pretty down- not going to go into details as to why but sometimes you just have one of those days. Anyway, when I eventually began to feel a bit happier I decided what better way to get my feelings out than writing about it. I have always found writing my feelings down so much easier and therapeutic than actually saying words out loud. That has always been a bad trait of mine - not being able to say what I'm feeling. Maybe it's because I don't want people to worry about me - especially if it has just been one of those days, like today! I hope you guys don't mind? I know I usually write about fashion and beauty but sometimes it's quite nice to get to know the person behind the screen.

Having said that I decided that in the event that any of you guys feel down I wanted to give you some hints and tips into improving your mood and making you feel a bit better!
1. Listen to Music; Music is a great healer and sometimes a melody or lyrics can completely relate to how you are feeling. It can make you feel less alone and take your mind away from any negativity.
2. Play with your Pets; I know that not everyone will have animals so if you don't I apologise (cuddle a brother or sister? they can be animals too at times!) My dog is the happiest chappy in the world and no matter how sad you are feeling she is always happy to see you and play. An instant mood lifter!
3. Go for a Run; If you are into fitness why not grab your running shoes and hit the road. It will clear your head and the thumping of the pavement with get rid of all anger/negativity.
4. Laugh; Do you ever get upset when you are with someone for whatever reason and they crack a sarcastic joke which you can't help but laugh at? You instantly feel better! So go watch a comedy or funny programme - a sure fire way to help put that smile back on your face!
5. Cry; The total opposite to above but sometimes all you need is a good cry and just to flush everything out of your system. It doesn't make you weak. It makes you human! It releases your pain and you can pick yourself up afterwards!
6. Talk to Someone; Go and tell someone how you are feeling. If you don't tell them then how can they help? Whether it's a family member or a friend! Everyone isn't out to get you - they only want to help!
7. Get Dolled Up; I don't know about you but when you are feeling down sometimes there is nothing better than getting all dolled up, looking and feeling gorgeous and heading out with the girls whether it's lunch or cocktails or maybe both!
8. Stop Judging Yourself; Stop being so hard on yourself! Recognise that no one is perfect and we can't be ridiculously happy all the time. You are allowed some down time.
9. Treat Yourself; Whether it's going for a massage, buying a new dress or even if it's just going for a long soak in the bath. Relax and enjoy some you time,
10. Last but certainly not least - Remember that this feeling will pass.
and Voila! These are my top 10 tips into helping you feel better whenever you feel down! I hope these have helped anyone who is having a rubbish day and let me know your thoughts on this post - would you like to see more like this?
