A Saturday night off?! To go out! Very rare occurrence for myself but I certainly made the most of it (as I cry into my duvet whilst waking up with a sore head - coincidence? I think not!). Last night was my cousin's 30th birthday and he hired a function room is Glasgow's Piper Bar so was a fun filled family party.
I had been eyeing up this dress for month's in French Connection but didn't have any excuse to buy it and justify the money for it and then a few months ago I was on the search for a dress for a wedding and I knew this was what I wanted. I ended up leaving with two brand new sparkly numbers and wore neither to the wedding - oh well! It's not a dress for wearing to the pub on a night out so this was the perfect occasion! I love the mix of shades with the pink and fuchsia and the light and dark grey. I pulled out the darker grey with the dark shoes and bag.
Finding grey shoes and a bag is a whole different kettle of fish! I clearly underestimated how difficult this would be! Bought the shoes from New Look last week and I got all giddy because shoes isn't something I usually treat myself to so very happy with this purchase and I really wanted a matching bag but could I find one!? Geez! Scowered the Fort for hours trying to find one! I eventually settled on a metallic clutch from Miss Selfridge because I was dangerously close to losing the will to live and then walked in next door to Next to spot the most perfect bag. An embarrassing trip back to Miss Selfridge literally 2 minutes later to return the original bag and my outfit was complete!
I love these new style of bags with the arm strap. So much easier to hold and carry and looks amazing. I love the diamontes on this style to highlight the strap! These bags are huge this season and are finally beginning to creep onto the high-street.
Went for a light lip with a neutral smokey eye to keep focus on the busy dress!
Had a fab night even if I am suffering for it now!
