It is that time again where I take a look at what I have been using throughout the last month and show you all my favourite products! I have been on the search for my perfect make-up/ skincare products and have been branching out into brands I wouldn't normally use. Here are my favourite products from October:
Mavala Nail Polishes
Working directly next to the Mavala stand in work it was only a matter of time before I purchased one to try it. These have now became my latest obsession. Cute size and packaging and for a whopping £4.50 I really couldn't go wrong. These are so well pigmented and the colours are exactly like the swatches/ in the bottle.
Fake Up - Benefit Cosmetics
Being a pale gal it is so frustrating trying to hide dark circles under your eyes. No matter how many hours of sleep it always looks extra purple because of the whiteness of my skin. I found 'Fake Up' which is a 2 in 1 concealer/ eye brightener which I really rate! The only problem I have is that because it moisturises under the eye and keeps on doing so throughout the day it can pull your make-up down. Make sure you apply in the 'V' shape and blend up towards the eye and not directly underneath.
Elizabeth Arden Lip Balm Stick
I am in love with this product. Recently I have found that my lips have been getting increasingly dry, the colder weather is beginning to attack my system. This stick keeps lips hydrated and really smooth. Definitely worth a purchase!
Max Factor Colour Elixir
I have been eyeing these babies up for a while and when they had a special deal on through the month I decided it was time to take the plunge and purchase! So well pigmented and creamy these were a great buy! Look beautiful and bright.
Dior BB Creme
I was on the hunt this month for a base I could wear when I wasn't at work. Having a job in make-up means I need to wear a full face everyday and it can kill your (my) skin so I decided to look for a BB Creme to wear on my days off. Ta-Dah Dior stepped up to the mark. It was actually in work when I was applying make-up to a fellow pale lady when I asked what she was wearing as it looked great and she said this so I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Really loving it - the girl on counter also gave me a sample of the Forever Foundation which I absolutely love and can guarantee this will be my next purchase.
Simple Illuminating Cream
Before applying my make-up base I have been popping on this Illuminating Cream to brighten my skin - especially in the early mornings when I am needing that fresh look! Really like the feel of this product as it is thick but not oily.
No.7 Soft and Soothed Toner
As you all know I have became somewhat of a skincare junkie and I have been hunting for the best products that work for me. I think I have found my favourite toner in No.7. This toner is so hydrating and you really feel it working on the skin. A little goes a long way which is exactly what I want.
Bobbi Brown Make-up Brushes
Over the last while I have been trying to build up my make-up brush collection into a good set that I am happy with and little by little get rid of all the rubbish ones I have accumulated over the years of not knowing much in the make-up region. These brushes are amazing! What a buy. I especially love the blusher and eye shadow blender brushes.
Double Faced Oval Pads
Last but not least for this months may be a little random but the double faced oval pads from Boots on are amazing! So thick and they last so much longer than the smaller ones as you really only need one to take of your face - Depending on how much make-up you slap on obviously! Highly recommended and for a whole £1.68 they really are a steal!
That is it for my October favourites! Let me know if you use or are going to try these products. I love to hear all your opinions!
