After a disappointing start to the month from my old faithful Glossybox I felt that Birchbox may just leave me feeling as deflated as before! I have heard so many amazing things and read so many blog posts about Birchbox yet never got around to trying it until now! How glad am i? This box came with 7 different products which I think is amazing!
The packaging isn't as exciting or pretty as Glossybox so I plan on just chucking this one away as opposed to my Glossybox ones that I keep as dividers for my make-up. I do however like the little pouch the products are kept in inside the box. Need to find a use for them as I want to keep them! Might use them to hold my jewellery...any suggestions are welcome!
Dr Lipp Nipple Balm For Lips £11.50
This little cutie is a versatile balm that was originally used as a nipple balm! Interesting fact for you all. I have heard of the Dr Lipps brand and have been super interested to try it so this was a great product to see sitting in my box this month! The description states that it repairs dry and flaky skin which is great for me as during the colder months my lips are unbelievably dry so lip balm is my saviour.
theBalm Cosmetics Stainiac £10
theBalm is a favourite brand from loads of the YouTube beauty gurus and I have been browsing online of late at their products and I have to say I have been lusting after quite a few (blushers and the eye pallettes if anyone is looking for xmas ideas!). Similar to a product I received in my Glossybox this month as well and also another carbon copy of Benetint but I shall have a go and see if it is as good.
Bluemandarines SkinLife Energetic Cellular Cream £35
I do love my skincare and I love trying out different makes and brands until I find a product I simply can't live without! This cream is supposed to brighten and protect the skin as well as refresh it. Great size for carrying in my handbag too!
Egyptian Magic £29
My favourite thing about receiving this product is that they provided me with three which means I can use it a few times to really see how it works and what it does to my skin! Bonus points BB! Described as a multi-purpose healing cream made with six all-natural ingredients. Oh! Will let you all know how I get on!
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance £28
Wow! I am so excited that Birchbox have launched Laura Mercier with their boxes now as I love the brand and have been dying to try the primer for a while. I think I squealed when I saw this! I love that Birchbox have larger, more up market brands teamed up with them, makes their boxes so exciting and valuable.
BirchBox Eyelash Curlers £10
We all know how eyelash curlers work so I don't need to explain! I got a pair from Glossybox not too long ago which I have been using so I may keep these until they are done failing that I may give them to my mam as there's no point to me having two. Do like the product though - nice choice BB!
KMS California Hair Play Makeover Spray £15
Last but not least (can't believe how many products I received this month) is the Hair Play which I was very intrigued with. This is supposed to absorb oil and/or thicken limp hair which is exactly what I need! I haven't had a chance to try this out as at work I tend to wear my hair up but will give it a go at the weekend and report back.
That is it! I loved my October box and this was defienetly the winner over the Glossybox items this month. I cannot wait to see what arrives in November. I just hope that Birchbox don't take them same wavelength as Glossybox and be great for a few months and become rubbish soon after!
Hope you like this post.
