Friday Fabu-List: Rihanna for River Island

Rihanna's New Collection for River Island has finally dropped. It feels as though we have all been waiting forever for the new line to hit stores and I have to say I'm not entirely sure I'm convinced with the collection. Don't get me wrong some of the items are great but the rest? Really not my taste. Remember this is just personal style and I can safely say I won't be sporting any of the 'G4Life' range - I'm definitely no 'G'. I have to say that I am disappointed as I loved her first collection and found so many great items that I was looking forward to her second range dropping. Her new collection is very urban based hitting key trends this season with army prints and ankle cuffs. Lots of sport luxe thrown in as well with the elasticated waistbands on her bra-lets and trousers. Sorry if I am offending anyone here but the point in reviews is to be honest and that is exactly what I am doing - remember this is just a personal opinion. I know that some of you will love this new line and this style may be right up your street so I have picked some pieces that I do actually like.

You can never go wrong with a good pair of shoes and these are bang on trend with the ankle cuff.. I love the thick ankle cuff and the big buckle. Really elegant and they look a great height to elongate the legs.

I've been pretty unsure about the cold shoulder look that's been sweeping the style stakes but I actually really like this dress. I think it may be the turtle neck that gives it an extra something! Great twist to the LBD and perfect to take you straight through for A/W.

Another figure hugging dress from Rihanna's collection is this army print number. Army print has made a huge comeback of late and I never really bought into it until now! I feel it's a style that you really have to commit to - go big or go home. And how big can you get by going full print? Add the gorgeous black heels from above and sorted!

Love this print! So unusual. Really great for a night out on the town! I love a long sleeve on a dress and will look great for this season. This seems to be a popular choice as it has sold out online so be sure to jump down to the stores not to miss!

My last item from the collection is this cream jumper. Yes, I realise it says 'G4Life' across it and i'm not a huge fan but jumpers and big knits are the must-have of the season and cream is a great colour to mix and match!
