What A Job

Interviews are scary things. Recruitment days are even scarier. Standing out against hundreds of other contenders is no easy task. Especially when it is specified that if you are fortunate to get called back you must be wearing all black - how do you stand out against a crowd looking like they are about to attend a rather large funeral?

The personality side of things isn't the hard part - everyone is different and has different stories and quirks to bring to the table. Especially when you are put to one on one interviews - you only have to worry about yourself. Outfits however are crucial to make a lastig impression.

I was at a recruitment day today with hundreds of other girls in swarms of black. So I decided that whilst I had to wear this particular shade I needed to change it up somehow. Add a slouchy boyfriend tee to give a casual feel and some statement jewellery to add a touch of class! I also added a red scarf to blend in with my red lipstick and hopefully give something that interviewers may remember me by. 'Which one,' 'oh the one with the red scarf' - if that's what I am referred to then I happy with that!

I did get through the first round and am now onto the second! Shall see where this takes me - this round is also all black!!

Very light and thin lash of liquid liner just to define the eyes today with a brown smoke at the crease. My main attraction was my lips in Love Red by no.7. Also ended up opting for pulling my hair into a low, small bun as my hair wouldn't sit (today of all days) and it showed off my makeup.

P.s- now that my mum is back at work (teacher) it is harder to get photos taken! Bare with me!

Hope you like today's post!
